Shop Supervisor

Qatar Duty Free is looking for a Shop Supervisor to work in its duty-free stores at Hamad International Airport in Doha — one of the largest duty-free areas in the world, with more than 90 boutiques and stores and over 30 restaurants and cafés. The role supports the Duty Manager in running daily shop-floor operations, with a strong focus on driving sales, customer service and merchandising, and on guiding and motivating the sales team to reach daily targets.

What you will do:
– Help the Duty Manager organise daily shop requirements such as staffing, cash and stocking so sales are maximised and procedures are followed
– Allocate staff, monitor stock levels and raise stock issues to keep the shop well supplied
– Facilitate daily spot checks on tills and monitor cash discrepancies; keep stock shrinkage within budget
– Train new sales team members on the job to improve customer service and product knowledge
– Coordinate shift handover briefings with the Duty Manager
– Complete closing procedures for tills, stock, merchandising and visual standards; handle returns and void slips per SOPs
– Authorise staff discounts within the monthly purchase-limit policy
– Respond to guest feedback and complaints and pass them to the Duty Manager or Retail Manager; brief the team on promotions and new product launches
